Why book first aid training with fluid?
First aid training is perhaps one of the most important skills you’ll ever learn – after all, it could help you save a loved-one’s life!
At Fluid Learning, we do first aid training differently. We offer comprehensive first aid education, CPR training and LV Panel Rescue courses, that not only prepare to respond to emergencies at work or home, but are nationally-recognised and workplace ready.
We offer public first aid training courses in North Lakes and Eagle Farm, convenient locations for outer and inner suburbs of North Brisbane. We run regular public courses or we can come to you, for a private group course at a time that suits you. Our face to face classes are very relaxed, and we aim to provide very simple and easy to understand instructions – as we have found that this is the most effective way to ensure information is retained by students.
Our innovative online learning and enrolment process means you can learn and complete the theory assessment at your own pace, time and place. With the paperwork out of the way, our face-to-face sessions are shorter, fun, hands-on and more succinct than you’ve come to expect from first aid and CPR courses in the past.
With friendly, experienced trainers and the best local prices, there is no better place to gain these life-saving skills.
Whether you are looking to undertake a first aid training course in Caboolture, North Lakes, Redcliffe or at your workplace in Brisbane and surrounding areas, we’d invite you to learn the Fluid way and contact us today. Read More
1st Aid CPR Training For Everyone
Have you ever attended a course that was long and boring with info that just wasn’t relevant to what you signed up to learn? If so, we understand and it’s for this reason that we go to great lengths to ensure that all info provided in our 1st Aid CPR Training courses is relevant, concise and delivered in a way that makes it easy to absorb and, most importantly, remember.
Why should I do CPR training?
Here at Fluid First Aid, we believe CPR is one of the most basic and critical skills that anyone can and should learn. A person who is not receiving oxygen will quickly lose consciousness and will suffer brain damage after four to six minutes. The purpose of CPR is to increase the opportunity for survival by providing artificial circulation and ventilation through chest compression and rescue breaths.
This course is for anyone who may be required to perform CPR as an emergency response in a range of situations. Cardiac arrest usually occurs as a result of choking, drowning, electrocution, or trauma, and may affect people of all ages, genders, and abilities.
As emergency situations may occur anywhere (whether at home, in public, or in the work place), we believe that everyone should learn CPR as knowing how to perform it safely and correctly could help to save the life of someone you love.
What will I learn?
Our first aid CPR training is the standard CPR qualification for workplace first aiders Australia-wide. Our teaching is in line with the most up to date guidelines from the Australian Resuscitation Council (ARC) and includes the nationally recognised unit of competency “Provide Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)”.
The course includes online theoretical learning to fit around your schedule as well as in-person hands-on experience to prepare you for emergency situations and make you a confident and effective first aider. You will learn the procedure and steps leading up to administering CPR as well as;
- How to recognise cardiac arrest
- How to manage an unconscious individual
- How to perform CPR on an individual of any age
- How to use an automated external defibrillator (AED)
- The law and CPR
- How to keep yourself safe when performing CPR
So, how do I book?
There is more chance of a medical emergency occurring in areas where people congregate in higher numbers. This means that CPR and AED training is even more crucial in areas such as schools and workplaces. At Fluid First Aid, we tailor our training to fit with your schedule. Our first aid CPR training is run at a range of locations around Brisbane, and we can also run private training at your workplace (minimum onsite fees apply).
You can book a course through our website, by phone, or by email. Once booked, you will be emailed confirmation with all the information you will need to attend training as well as a link to your online learning.
I completed my most recent First Aid course with Ben at Fluid Learning North Lakes. As a former vocational education teacher I found the online pre-course reading material informative and innovative and the study guides really helpful. Ben presented the course in a highly professional manner. He was easy to understand and entertaining and he made every effort to ensure that it was relevant for all attendees. The assessment was practical and was completed in a timely manner. I would highly recommend this course. We at WET Swim School are certainly delighted that Fluid Learning is located so close to our business.Gary Conomos
